Amended Senior Certificate

An Amended Senior Certificate, more commonly known as a Senior Certificate (Amended), is awarded to adult students after they successfully complete their Adult Matric Programme. Once you have completed our Adult Matric Programme, you will receive an Amended Senior Certificate.

Accreditation and Registration

If you are looking to apply for your NSC and Adult Matric (Amended Senior Certificate), you need to remember that it is The Department of Basic Education that offers you that chance. Because of this, there is no accreditation process for your NSC and Adult Matric, only classes available for both NSC and ASC.

After you have written your matric exam, all of your answer papers will be sent to The Department of Basic Education. Your papers will be marked there, and if you were successful and passed, you will receive your Amended Senior Certificate. This certificate will be issued to you and accredited by Umalusi.
